And now it’s done. With the bankruptcy court approving Overstock’s bid to buy the digital and intellectual assets of Bed Bath & Beyond, the final nail is in the retail coffin of what was once one of America’s greatest retailers. Overstock is buying the brand, the url website and other bits and pieces…but not the stores, the inventory or the BuyBuy Baby unit…much less the employees or their severance, pension or other liabilities.
