It was originally supposed to be open by now but Wayfair says, not to worry, it is still opening its first big Flagship store…it’s just not going to happen until next spring. This week the big online home furnishings player let out a few details on the store, scheduled to open in a 150,000-square-foot former Carson Pirie Scott location in Wilmette, IL, a suburb about 45 minutes outside of Chicago. First announced in 2022, It promises an “immersive experience”…whatever that means plus a restaurant and 19 different departments. Promises promises.
