I went to New York Home Textiles Market…so you didn’t have to.
And while there were many conversations about sustainability and sourcing and such, one had to actually find the market first. Its haphazard, buyer-unfriendly format, spread out over countless buildings in no particular order did not exactly endear itself to an efficient process for doing business. I don’t get it…although nobody seems to be in any particular hurry to try to change things to create a coherent and logical market. Eventually this will come back to haunt the New York market…but it hasn’t so far.
Here’s what I saw, heard and…well, didn’t see or hear because I couldn’t find my next appointment. https://businessofhome.com/articles/sourcing-and-sustainability-were-top-of-mind-at-new-york-s-textile-market-week?utm_source=daily_newsletter&utm_medium=email
