
The upscale home furnishings retailer has turned into one of the most theatrical players in the business, especially when it comes to its new stores…er, Galleries. Such was the case with its recently opened one in Indianapolis, on a 151-acre estate once the home to a prominent local developer and philanthropist. But that’s in contrast to a pair of locations opened this month in Germany. No big galas, massive press pushes or Gary Friedman sightings. Very curious indeed.
