It’s been barely six months since Canadian retail entrepreneur Doug Putman (pictured from the company’s website) bought the rights to the former Bed Bath & Beyond locations in Canada and reopened 24 of them as Rooms + Spaces but now it seems to be facing some of the same issues as its doomed predecessor. Its president, Greg Dyer, a former BBB executive, has left the retailer for reasons that are unclear while several vendors who are doing business with the chain said off-the-record they are not being paid. Rooms + Spaces hasn’t responded to our inquiries about all of this but it does seem to sound eerily familiar. Here’s more on the situation:
