With the news that the last of the Habitat stores are closing in France, it’s the end of one of the most influential & important brands in home furnishing retailing. We have the late great Terence Conran to thank for it, as well the various incarnations of his namesake stores, a few of which remain in operation. It’s the end of an era.

It IS a sad day. Habitat now gone and TC’s beloved Michelin Building also gone.
I had the pleasure of working for Conran’s US and watch the great man in action.
