Maybe curse is too strong a word, but the remnants of what was once Bed Bath & Beyond seem to be struggling far more than they should. The latest comes from Canada where Rooms + Spaces, the rebranded BBB stores that opened last summer under new ownership, seem to be melting down. From the original count of 24, they are down to just eight locations — one source says even fewer — amid reports of layoffs at the central buying and merchandising office.
