Has the Home Retail Ugliness Peaked?

It’s been quite a slog the past two years for the home furnishings and remodeling sector of the retail world with more than its fair share of casualties, bankruptcies and going-out-of-businesses. The toll is pretty ugly. But we’re seeing signs that perhaps things have bottomed out and we may be having the first positive shoots sprout again. Then again, I was never very good at gardening. Here’s my take on where we’ve been…and where we might be headed:
