Tempur Sealy has been trying to buy Mattress Firm since the spring but when the largest mattress supplier wants to buy the largest mattress retailer it kind of attracts some attention. The FTC has been fighting this deal and Tempur is now trying to make it easier to approve by saying it will sell off some stores if it goes through. But do the math and it just doesn’t add up:
