The skeptic in me got the better of my thinking and I figured Big Lots was done. But under new ownership, they have already opened almost 150 stores on the way to nearly 220 locations. They aren’t quite the old Big Lots model, at least not the most recent one: they are returning to a classic off-price strategy and that’s a good thing.
