The holiday selling season may not be quite the make-or-break period for home furnishings retailers as it is for apparel, beauty and toy sellers but still, categories like housewares, mattresses, candles and even the occasional credenza show up on shopping lists this time of year. Will it be a merry happy time this year…or perhaps just ho-ho-hum?
