Unlike most of modern American retailing where one player pretty much dominates a channel of distribution, the home improvement business is very much in play between Home Depot and Lowe’s…especially after both companies put up good numbers for the quarter this week. Depot remains substantially larger but Lowe’s seems to have its act together to be a more worthy competitor. There will be no place for Stupid behavior in this battle, that’s for sure. The fight is on…
