
I finally got to see the Market by Macy’s store in Texas and even if it was the best thing since sliced SKUs — spoiler alert, it’s not — it does nothing to address the core problems at the retailer’s 600 full-size department stores. Why it is fooling around with this format when it should be devoting all of its attention to fixing its existing business model is beyond me. It’s more than that: it’s just plain Stupid.
