
Some of the biggest retailers in the business — Walmart, Target, Home Depot and Nordstrom, among others — are adapting new workarounds to deal with the meltdown in the global supply chain that brings products from over there to store shelves and distribution centers over here. Some involve more costs, some are long-term changes in sourcing structures and some are just temporary Band-Aids, but all of them are Smart moves to deal with a crisis that most think won’t go away until next year…at best.
