
With its purchase last week of the company that makes the Roomba automatic vacuum cleaner products, Amazon is clearly taking the lead in defining exactly what the long-awaited smart home will actually be. It’s all about the data…and of course the e-commerce giant’s ability to use that information to sell you more stuff. They already have doorbells, home security devices, digital assistants and now home cleaning products, could lighting, digital kitchen appliances and who-knows-what-else be next? What do you think?
