It’s quite simply the best physical store presentation we’ve seen in a very long time and it’s not just one either. When Louis Vuitton introduced its newest collaboration with Japanese artist Kusama this month they broke all the rules with giant inflatables hanging off their flagship in Paris and all kinds of other in-store and on-store presentations at its locations around the world. It’s the kind of dramatic statement retailers need to make to stand out. And yes, with $4,000 handbags it can afford these expensive displays but by upping the bar for the industry it’s something every retailer needs to be aware of…and respond accordingly.
