
So, electric vehicles seem to be surging in popularity gaining market share in the American market like crazy. There’s just one thing: where are people going to charge all those EVs? Well, one person’s problem is another’s opportunity and for the retail industry, charging stations represent the greatest potential for new business of anything that’s come along in generations. Smart retailers — sometimes an oxymoron, I know, but they do exist — are already starting to plan to add charging stations to existing locations or building out new ones to accommodate the 1.3 million new stations that will come along before the end of the decade.
