Richard Baker, head of HBC, is at it again. Now he wants to take his company private after tearing half of it down and circling his retail wagons around Saks and Hudson’s Bay. It’s a reversal of fortune for someone who at one time ran one of the largest retailing companies in the world. The trouble is he was running it into the ground. For a very smart guy he has made some pretty Stupid choices.
