Target Doesn’t Get IT

Target is doing lots of things really well. Its stores look so much better, its online efforts are just about as good as any other traditional retailer and all the new private brand programs it has rolled out are great merchandising efforts. But it just continues to struggle with technology, as evidenced by the cash register check-out meltdowns it experienced this past weekend. Target is getting much smarter, but is still dealing with nagging – and Stupid — systems problems.
