The biggest winner on the retail scene over the past few months is invariably cited as Amazon but creeping in the shadows is a company that could represent the most serious threat to its position in e-commerce. No, it’s not Walmart, which remains way behind in the online business despite recent gains. The challenger is Alibaba, the Chinese company that is combination of e-commerce and social media and is using B2B as its Trojan Horse to stake out its position in the American market. To ignore its plans and ambitions is…well, you guessed it, Stupid.
