The guy behind MyPillow, the direct to consumer sleep pillow that has racked up sales beyond anyone’s expectations — I happen to think it’s not a terrific product but lots of other people disagree — has never hidden his support for Donald Trump. More recently, he has taken that up a few notches with over-the-top statements raising issues about election fraud and covid cures amidst his undying support for all things Trumpian. Stupid? I don’t know. He sure alienates a whole lot of potential customers but as some have pointed out there’s plenty of people who agree with him. Me, I’d like my pillows without his politics…and MyPillow will never be my pillow.
