
Yesterday’s Earth Day was rather remarkable given that it wasn’t all that long ago that the event had faded out of public consciousness. As a point of social awareness it was nice to see it back but there was another story: retailers, particularly in the home furnishings space, using the day to tell their eco-friendly stories…and try to sell a little furniture too. We don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, using business to promote social program is a pretty Smart way to get things done.
