
It’s everything the old store wasn’t…and less. The just reopened Bed Bath & Beyond flagship in Manhattan got a top to bottom gut job renovation, radically changing its approach to shopping for home furnishings. It’s a bold statement about where the retailer is headed and if they can replicate this merchandising style in 800 other stores it will be a huge win. But that’s a big ask, for sure. The Smart money says they will be be able to pull this off…but some in the industry still have their doubts.
