Wayfair, the giant online home furnishings seller, is finally getting into the physical store channel and it raises the question of what took them so long? Just about every successful retailer out there — despite the jokers who are trying to break up retailers into e-comm and non-comm units — agrees you need both stores and sites to make it work. It just seems to have taken Wayfair longer to figure this out. Not having stores was Stupid. Finally opening a few is…well, less Stupid.
Here’s my take on all of this on Forbes.com: https://www.forbes.com/sites/warrenshoulberg/2021/12/07/wayfair-will-start-to-open-stores-in-2022finally/?sh=dc714282cbc2
