Going, Going…Almost Gone

The Sears/Kmart disaster has lived to see another holiday shopping season…but just barely. With just a handful of stores left, it appears this could be it — although that’s been said before, including by yours truly. But a year ago I made a forecast for how many stores would be left by the end of 2021. Was I dead-on?

Read on about this very sad, very Stupid tragedy that these once great retailers have become: https://www.forbes.com/sites/warrenshoulberg/2021/12/21/our-prediction-on-sears-from-a-year-ago-was-dead-on/?sh=5a8e53ae6a06

  1. No you were not. You don’t even Know the store counts while I spend Hours every Day perfecting my map and lists.

    Sears article. This one: https://www.forbes.com/sites/warrenshoulberg/2021/12/21/our-prediction-on-sears-from-a-year-ago-was-dead-on/

First of all, his prediction wasn’t right at all. I always dislike these articles. Long on rhetoric, short on substance. They go on and on, meandering all over the place, but get nowhere. And, as mentioned below, his full line Sears counts are wrong. And there is never anything new in these articles that we’re not already aware of. It’s just gibberish. What a tool. There are 18 non-closing full line Sears left, not 23.

    Article is being discussed here:

Also here is a list of full line Sears/kmarts:

    1. Thanks Jack for your updated info, apparently you felt strongly enough about it to send in your comments twice. I used the most current info I could find but clearly I will check with you next time. Merry Happy to you too, Warren
