If you thought Dyson was only for vacuum cleaners and hair dryers, think again. The company has introduced a new table lamp, the Dyson LightCycle, that has a tech-story behind it, adjusting itself to Circadian rhythms and local lighting conditions.
Does it work? Is is really something new since there have been products with these attributes on the market for years? Have no idea but the point is that Dyson is a real brand in a home furnishings category that doesn’t have very many and so even at a $499 price point it is a formidable introduction in the field.
Don’t believe it? Talk to some of the vacuum cleaner guys who were totally caught off-guard by the first Dyson machine and have been playing catch-up ever since. Any lighting product supplier who doesn’t take this as a serious threat to their business and react accordingly is, well, Stupid.
