Tariffs and coronavirus: not a winning combination at all. But it’s a situation the mattress business finds itself in as a group of importers is fighting an action brought on by domestic companies who say the imports are unfairly priced. The companies bringing in the products from Asia and Europe contend they are needed for hospitals and health care facilities short of mattresses. It’s a decision the federal government is going to make by mid-May.
