What’s Thanksgiving without the Macy’s parade? Well, we’re going to find out this year after the department store announced it was cancelling the live event due to Covid and would do a virtual version for television with pre-recorded segments and other digital elements. Frankly, the parade has looked pretty canned for quite some time and while New Yorkers will miss the in-person experience it’s a great chance for Macy’s to do something really different and special to freshen up this turkey. Not to make a new sauce from the cranberries would be just plain Stupid.
